The idea of an India and Pakistan Match has always been in the conversation since the day when Shoaib Akhtar had already suggested that both the countries can come up with a TV show to raise some funds that would help both the countries to raise some funds to fight COVID-19.
The ex-captain of India, Mr. Kapil Dev had already declined the idea that Shoaib Akhtar put forward. Kapil said that doing a bilateral show during such circumstances would risk the lives of many and was also not feasible during such time. Hence he declined the idea saying it was literally not possible to risk so many lives to raise funds.
“There are more chances of snowfall in Lahore than bilateral series between India and Pakistan.” – said the former Indian Captain, Sunil Gavaskar while having a conversation with Ramiz Raja.
After all these, the current player Sreesanth has always been vocal about his idea through his Instagram live video.
“We are not in good terms with Pakistan so, India first and health first. Personally, I am not in favour of playing any match against Pakistan unless the relations between the two countries improve,’ said Sreesanth in his Instagram Live chat.
Sreesanth, first spotted by current BCCI president Sourav Ganguly, made his debut under Rahul Dravid, played a couple of Test matches under Anil Kumble and then completed the major part of his career under MS Dhoni (22 ODIs,13 Tests, and 9 T20Is), has picked the best-ever Indian captain and it is none of the above-mentioned greats of the Indian team.
Sreesanth was one of the legendary all-rounders in the Indian Team. In a recent live session in the Helo app, the right-arm pacer picked Kapil Dev, under whom India won the 1983 World Cup as the best-ever skipper and also named India captain Virat Kohli as the best batsman and fast bowler Jaspirt Bumrah as the best bowler in world cricket currently.
